Greetings fellow National Capital Chapter members, It’s great to be back from the Nassau and my family Disney cruise. I’m so glad I went before Faye showed up off of Florida’s coast, she would have put a damper on what turned out to be a great time. If you have kids I strongly recommend taking the Cruise, Disney does it First Class all the way! I am sorry I missed the Private Security Appreciation Day, I hear it was a success. Thank you Joseph Bonacci and Michael Williams for leading the charge on this one! We have a special event in September, our inaugural Golf Outing which will be held on September 10, 2008 at Fort Belvoir's Woodlawn Course beginning with lunch at the clubhouse at 12:00 noon and a shotgun start at 2:00 pm. In addition to golfers, we are looking for companies to contribute to the event as hole sponsors and non-golf volunteers to serve as contest judges and refreshment cart drivers. Our Vice Chairman and resident golf “nut”, Michael Williams is working with our Treasurer Jim Saulnier on this event. It is September, and we need to start thinking about the 2009 Executive Board slate. As the outgoing Chairman, my responsibility will be to pull the names of nominees for the positions together, so we can put them up for vote. Watch for announcements about the candidates as we move into October.
